Here's the female mold for the stern light. It's a split mold due to the deep recess that forms the shelf that the light sits on. CNC cut from foam.
This is the bottom of the shelf.
Once assembled and coated with release it's gelcoated white with a backing of black to aid in seeing any air left in the skin laminate.
Skin laminate of one ounce mat on the upper section.
Lower section skinned. At this point the mold was assembled and the bulk of the laminate applied.
This is the mold after demolding the part.
Finished part ready to be added to the stern section.
